This is a rather abstract and quick depiction of the imagery that occurred while I was thinking of the urban fabric public spaces may introduce. It illustrates the breaks in skylines and suggests at other elements such as color and composition.
i definitely see the breaks int he skylines, but i argue that is only from selected vantage points (which isn't a bad thing)... just remember to keep that in mind when thinking about public spaces in the urban fabric, and how they have different scales, uses, types (ig central park vs. area under the seagram building by mies which gives back to the city sidewalk, or small 'private' garden spaces behind buildings or courtyards
